MAGICIAN at ICRA 2026: Showcasing Human-Centred Robotics on the Global Stage

From 1-5 June 2026, the MAGICIAN project participated in the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2026) in Vienna, Austria, one of the world’s most influential events in robotics and automation research. Bringing together thousands of researchers, engineers, innovators, and industry leaders from around the globe, ICRA serves as a unique platform for sharing cutting-edge developments that shape the future of robotics and intelligent systems.

Throughout the week, the MAGICIAN team engaged with the international robotics community, explored the latest scientific breakthroughs, and exchanged ideas on the future of human-centred and AI-enabled manufacturing. The conference featured a rich programme of keynote talks, technical sessions, workshops, exhibitions, competitions, and networking opportunities, creating an inspiring environment for collaboration and innovation.

This year, ICRA’s agenda provided participants with a high number of different thematic sessions: plenary and keynote sessions, contributed paper sessions, workshops and tutorial sessions, forums, expo and exhibitions from corporates, robot competitions and social events.

For the MAGICIAN consortium, the event served as a platform to showcase ongoing work, exchange knowledge with peers, and strengthen connections within the international robotics community.

A special congratulations goes to our partners at FORTH! Their paper was shortlisted among the conference’s best paper candidates and presented by Ammar Qammaz.
